AAAAHHHHHHH FINALS
So Finals week at BYU has started, and the past two weeks have been SSOOOOOOO crazyyy!
So decided that college is going by way too fast, and I'm learning more things about myself than I am in school. Also I decided that I need to get more pictures up on this janx, however, at the moment there isn't quite enough time. buuuuutttt get excited for some nostalgia:
- B-ballin pictures
- end of semester madness
- a video of me rapping with the awesomest ladies EVER
- randomness
- and such as
On a spiritual note though, my baptism anniversary is coming up and I'm soooo excited! I'm going to be done finals and I'm going up to the Salt Lake Temple and it's going to be sooooooooo AWESOME! And, 16 months from now, I'm eligible to turn in my mission papers! 21 months until I am graduated, and oh mannnn, there is SOOOO MUCH TO DO between now and then! gahhhhh, but you know whatt? today is awesome, tomorrow will be awesome and I'm totally following Buddah's advice :P

anyways madddd studying time! Family Finance Exam tomorrow and then like such as and such as, super great rockstar party around 8ish. Then CHURCH on SUNDAYYY! soooo excitedd :P

The typical life of a college student??
Yeppp, I've been livin' the high life lately, I've spent more time in class than sleeping, and more time at work than in class! Also, eating lots of Ramen do to the lack of time to make some delicious and more nutritious things has definitely gotten me into a normal college-kid's mindset. It's been a CRAZYYYY week! But for realziez I think all of the chaos of this week has helped me to get even more excited for this weekend.
I am really, really, really, really grateful to be able to hear from the prophets and apostles that lead our church. I know that no matter what craziness goes on EVERYWHERE, one thing that will always be constant and true, an unbreakable foundation in my life is Christ. I know that He lives and it is so easy to feel His love as long as you look for it; His love is everywhere.
I'm so excited to chill this weekend with friends that are like family and I'm so blessed to have them in my life. :D

I'm in love alright! With my crazy beautiful life! :D

I'm in love alright, with my crazy beautiful life.
With the parties, the disasters, with my friends all pretty [not] plastered.
Every night we are down to go out,
Waking up on a different couch.
Til the next night, o[r] the next flight.
Yeah, I guess we're doing alright.
Sooooo today has been kind of amazing. I woke up early again to start my day at the bakery making RICE CRISPY TREATS! and had my one amazing D&C class that I have on T/TH and then worked AGAIN for a few hours :P I love how we are crazy open there at the bakery, like we get to talk about ANYTHING for reals, from how I'm in love w/ my Psych of Gender class, and our opinions of how sex ed should be taught in schools, to making up sweet lyrics for the songs that are overplayed on the radio. :P
The most beautiful part of the day though, was the 2nd tournament game that the Bakery Ballers got to participate in at 9PM. I was sooooo jazzed about it I couldn't sit still! And honestly it was amazing, we played a team that CREAMED us in the opening game of our season, and totally held our own! We didn't win, but they were super nice and fun to joke around with, and didn't like get all cocky and stuff. For reals it was so fun! And basketball, oh man, while not my favorite sport to watch, it is MOST DEFINITELY my favorite sport to play, and I just love having fun with it and the huge joy-bringing potential it has! :)
Intramurals have SOOOO made my LIFE this semester, and for realsiez tonight I just got the best opportunity to count my blessings, and really appreciate the people in my life. In my Doctrine and Covenants class today, Bro Garr (who is wayyyyy awesome!) was talking about how we need to leave a good legacy in our lives. He mentioned specifically for us (being college kids and all) to make sure that we ARE social, and active in our wards and communities, no matter how SHORT the time spend in any geographical area. He talked about how the littlest things can change lives, just being YOURSELF can change someone's life. And I TOTALLY got to relate to that, because for me, like my conversion to the church was all about people consistently being good examples, nurturing, caring, and loving no matter what I did, how crazy I got or how uninterested I seemed at times. Like i guess what I mentioned yesterday, you've just gotta be you. But Bro. Garr told us, we have to be proactive, and actually BE us, and DO GOOD THINGS! Especially in being an example for others.
I'm like soooo totally blessed to have so many awesome people surrounding me that are fully invested in doing good, staying true to themselves, staying true to those around them, showing SO MUCH LOVE, GIVING so much service and just demonstrating perpetual AWESOMENESS! As I was driving to Sonic w/ Beccs (one of those great examples I'm blessed to have in my life, also on my basketball team, and a full-time ROCKSTAR!) I was kind of in this euphoric mood just because of the game, and a few great hugs I got attack people with and, well everyday stuff too :P but we were talking about people, and like there really IS sooooo much good in EVERYONE. Among all the sadness and negativity in the world. Inside all the bad traits and stony facades that are overt in our analysis of those around us... there really is so much good and so much love to find in people, and I really really love to find that love, and in the crazy happy times like tonight, that I truly, purely, unadulterated-ly get to reflect on that, like WOW, DAWG, it's overwhelming.
Anyways yeah, I'm blessed and I'm glad that the Lord has given me opportunities to appreciate my blessings in really small, yet super-profound ways.
God is great, life is good and people are crazy!

When life gives me marshmallows, I've gotta make rice krispy treats!
2 hours of work
+7.5 hours of class
+4.5 hours of studying between classes
= 14 hours on campus today!!!
It has be one CRAZY day, I finally got back on my longboard, first time since my fall the other day, and I boarded to work at 430AM, and naturally had to make some rice krispy treats, what would BYU do without me?? :P
Anywaysss, friendships have been on my mind lately, and people's emotional reactions to things. It is probably because I'm a psych major, buuuutttt yeah, it's even coming up in just talking to peoples. Including my mother, she is reading an awesome book called "The 5 Languages of Love" and I'd definitely recommend it to everyone! But yeah, in my Cognition class we're talking about how the brain processes emotions, and moods and stuff, and then in my Gender class we've discussed "the gendered friendships" and how society has like these different definitions for what makes a "good" or "healthy" friendship, and how that definition has changed over time as society has changed over time. It is so amazing how everything is connected, and how like, people are connected. How people are so much alike yet SO individualized never ever ceases to amaze me, and I just feel really lucky to have my school time be largely devoted to learning more about this stuff!!
In conclusion, I personally believe that (yes miss teen whats-her-face reference) being yourself is the way to go. For me when life hands me 25 lbs of marshmallows, I've gotta make trays and trays of yummy rice krispies, but you know some people just have to break out the roasting sticks, chocolate and graham crackers. Whatever you do, you gotta be you, friendships or otherwise.

I love the prophet, I LOVE the church, I love my friends (in the ward and out) that always support me ALL the time!

GREATFUL
So I've been thinking lately about how I always try to spell "grateful" as "greatful" and how that squiggly red line appears every time I think of the word. I suggest/petition/implore/request/solicit that we change the spelling of "grateful" to the better spelling of "GREATFUL"
because life is full of so many things that are great... and its so great to be greatful
