My mind wanders off when I don't sleep...

There's this song by The Rocket Summer called: Do You Feel and one of the lines is:
"I guess my mind wanders off from time to time,
Sometimes I convince myself that all is fine
In the world, it's not mine, why should I have to try
To fix things I didn't create or contrive?"

The world really does think like this sometimes huh? There's so much business going on that the big problems seem insurmountable.

Edmund Burke once said: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

The next stanza in the song says:
"Do you feel the weight of the world singin' sorrow?
Or to you is it just not real?
'Cause I got my own things.
Yeah we all have our things, I guess."

Dang. Makes you think huh?

I really love this song mainly because of that, through a bunch of my classes from psych to public health to sociology to history, there's an idea of social responsibility that we all have for eachother simply as human beings. Even Kohlberg's stages of morality put universal principals/social responsibility as the highest level of achievement.

I want to change the world. I want everyone to change the world. I believe we can all change the world. :)

God is great, life is good, and people are crazy!
